Keeping your outboard or inboard engine regularly serviced will undoubtedly maintain a high level of reliability and ultimately your safety at sea. Engines should be serviced and winterised during the laid up period when not in use, cleaning the internal waterways from salt deposits, lubrication and decontamination of the fuel system. It is also a requirement to have an annual service on new engines to maintain the manufacturer's paint and engine warranty.

OUTBOARD AND INBOARD SERVICING

We are able to service all outboard and inboard engines using OEM parts and recommended engine oils where appropriate. If your engine breaks down or indicates a fault we have the industry standard equipment to be able to diagnose and repair accordingly. We are also an authorised main dealer, sales and service centre for Tohatsu.

ENGINE AND PROPELLER SETUP

We have many years of experience in the Offshore OCR Racing circuit, having run our own race boat for many years. Our outboard engine tuning and propeller setup services will improve performance and economy. A slight adjustment to the engine height or position on the transom can have an impact on hull and engine drag which can increase or decrease speed.


As part of this optimising process it is recommended to upgrade a manufacturer aluminium propeller to stainless steel. We can supply and advise on the correct setup, amount of blades, prop size or pitch angle for your boat and engine using some of the World's leading manufacturers including the Ballistic range by Michigan.
