Government services Police boat gel coat repairs

As part of our mobile services we were contracted by local government services to repair impact damage to the gel coat of one of the Police service RIBs. The work was carried out offsite at the Turnchapel Wharf, Yachthaven in Plymouth, South Devon.

Once damage occurs to the protective gel coat layer it is vitally important to repair the damage professionally to protect the inner fibreglass from ingress of water. Failure to do so will inevitably cause long term damage by osmosis or delamination which will result in more costly repairs in future.

We have many years of experience with fibreglass and gel repairs, our specialist processes include colour match, even to dulled or faded gel, we try and match to an exact colour so any repairs blend into the existing colour.
